Polyhedras Inversed from Archimedean Solids

Polyhedra inversed from Archimedean Solids

3.1 Inversion with spect to a sphere pointwisely

In Cabri 3D, if we need use the inversion, just need to click one icon “inversion”. Usually, we inverse
one line or one point with respect to a sphere; in this thesis, we choose the latter one. That is, we inverse
a polyhedra with respect to a sphere pointwisely(Figure 3.1), and then form a new polyhedra(Figure 3.2).

3.2 Polyhedra inversed from Archimedean Solids

In character 1, we had introduce the 13 Archimedean Solids, now we inverse them to have new
polyhedras. For convience, we denote the polyhedra made from Archimedean Solid  by . Later we
will find Reye’s configuration on, so we just to make  for  has square on it, i.e, only for .
For example, in Figure 3.3 and Figure 3.4, since  has no square,  has no quadrilateral, this is not
what I want.
