me

I am applying for PhD admission for Fall 2014. Currently, I am a research assistant at Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica, Taiwan, supervised by Dr. Tyng-Luh Liu. My research interests include computer vision and machine learning, specifically, using statistical methods to provide visual ability for machines, especially in visual recognition, and large-scaled learning and image retrieval.

I finished my master's degree in computer science in July, 2010, supervised by Prof. Shang-Hong Lai at Computer Science Department at National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan. My master's thesis focused on non-rigid structure from motion in which I trained a prior model for certain deformable objects to obtain deforming 3D models from a sequence of images taken by a moving camera. As an undergraduate student, I majored in Computer Science while minoring in Mathematics. Also, I had worked at MediaTek Inc. in developing augmented reallity system as an intern.

Here is my CV.
