Hsin-Wei Hsu received the B.C. degree in statistics from Tunghai University, Taichung, Taiwan, in 2004. He received the M.S. degree in industrial engineering and enterprise information from Tunghai University, Taichung, Taiwan, in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree in industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 2011. He was working as the Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan in 2012 and is currently working as a Researcher at Green Energy & Environment Research Laboratories, Industrial Technology Research Institute, Hsinchu, Taiwan.

His current research interests include soft computing, evolutionary computation, and green supply chain, and their applications in decision and optimization on energy policy, green energy industry, logistics, decision making, and the issues of uncertainty

Mr. Hsu was awarded many different kinds of Paper and Thesis Awards including the Best Doctoral Dissertation Awards from Chinese Management Association and Operations Research Society of Taiwan (ORSTW) and Chinese Institute of Decision Sciences (CID), the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award from TOPCO Scientific, the Best Student Paper Award from International Association for Information and Management Science in 2009 and the Chrestomathy from Health Management Society of Taiwan (HMST) in2006.
